Members of the Rotary, veterans, sponsors and 4-H participate in the annual flag ceremony.

The Woodland Lakes Rotary Club welcomed attendees to 11th annual flag ceremony Saturday.  Rotary President Stephanie Rabitoy said, “We always say our club is small but mighty, and it truly is. In the past two years we have learned how much work was going into this park in the past decade by Steve Helling and the City of Amery.”

She said since Helling's departure from the club, the tiny group has tried their very best to keep the park looking nice, given the headwinds they faced. “Thank you to the city workers for repairing our flag poles after not one, but two devastating windstorms that have obliterated this flag park in the past year. Also, thank you to our donors for sticking with us through these growing pains. We wouldn't have this park without your support,” said Rabitoy.
